Manifest Equality

Earlier this year I was invited to submit a piece to Manifest Equality, a show which seeks to draw attention to the fact that all Americans do not yet have equal rights. I feel privileged to be able to take part in such a powerful visual expression of action and I am honored to be included with the other fabulous artists taking part in this show. The Manifest folks have been doing mini interviews with some of the participating artists. If you’re interested, you can find mine here.

If you live in the Los Angeles area, the show opens Wednesday, March 3rd and runs through Sunday, March 7th. Unfortunately timing makes it impossible for me to attend but if you can make it, it is sure to be an amazing show. The full list of artists as well as more information on the wheres and whens can be found on the Manifest Equality site.

Here’s a sneak peek of my piece. I’ll post an image of the full piece as soon as I have a chance to photograph them. The piece is a two-color screenprint that’s around 16x24. It’s called “100 Faces” and was my interpretation of the theme of equality. I find something interesting about repetition and how together disparate things seem much more the same. That idea is what I tried to bring across in my piece.

After the show closes I will have a limited number of prints available for sale if you’d like a copy of your own.
